Adnan Sami “Granted Indian Citizenship”

Finally Singer Adnan Sami is an Indian Citizen by Law. The Home Ministry has granted “citizenship by naturalisation” in view of his “distinguished service to the cause of art”.
Adnan Sami had come to India in 2001 on a one-year visa, but success and work kept him here, he kept renewing visa until he approached Home Ministry in May 2015 to avoid the deportation when Pakistani authorities refused to renew his passport.
Today, January 1, 2016, Pakistani Singer Adnan Sami is granted Indian citizenship.
Adnan Sami is an Indian singer, musician, pianist, actor and composer. He has a command of Indian and Western classical/semi-classical music, jazz, rock, pop, Indian classical music, fusion and Indian film music.
He is the first person in musical history to play Indian classical music on the piano in a style he pioneered and created through the Indian instrument called the santoor. He can play over 35 musical instruments.
Last he crooned mesmerizing Qawwali, Bhar Do johli meri, in Bajrangi Bhaijaan starring Salman Khan.
