Actress Raima Sen makes a candid confession about the glitz and glamour of Bollywood. Sen, whose upcoming film Bollywood Diaries is about three unrelated individuals aspire to become Bollywood actors expressed that it’s tough to make a foothold in Bollywood.
“Everybody just see Bollywood as a glamour world and thinks it’s easy to get into the industry. They don’t even realize the industry is too tough even for us, therefore for a normal person it gets harder. The industry looks glamorous from.” Raima said at the media interaction of Bollywood Diaries.
Having a background in films, the Bengali beauty who balances Tollywood and Bollywood quite well says she is not at all fanatic of filmy world, “I have seen so much that I am not at all addicted to this industry. I wonder when people ask me to give a role to his daughter or son. It seems people are still so crazy about this industry. I have seen a boy kept sitting the entire day at the Yash Raj Studio just to bag a role and he did that for 10years!” Sen recalled who was in a pivotal role in 2005 hit film Parineeta.
Raima, who came up with powerful performances in films such as Daman, Chokher Bali, Anuranan and Manorama Six Feet Under and will be seen essaying a role of a sex worker in the her upcoming film, said, I am playing a sex worker ‘Imli’ from Sonagachi. She has dream of being an actress in Bollywood.”
Written and helmed by ‘Gattu’ famed writer K.D. Satyam Bollywood Diaries features Raima Sen, Salim Diwan and Ashish Vidyarthi in title roles along with KarunaPandey and Vineet Kumar Singh in supporting roles.
The film is expected to release 26th February.
