Actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone on Tuesday launched the first song ‘Gajanana’ from this year’s most awaited movie, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
The song, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, was sung by Sukhvinder Singh and choreographed by Vaibhabi Merchant.
“Ganpathi and Diwali are the most main festivals for our families. We don’t bring the Idol home, but there is always celebration at home. Either my parents come to Bombay or I go to home. We celebrate Gori and Ganpathi together. We celebrate in a simple quite way, not too noisy,” says Deepika.
What is interesting here that Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Dilwale will be releasing on that same date as Bajirao Mastani, wont that effect the business for the movie?
“I don’t understand commerce enough to say anything, from business point of view, whether it effects the business of either films. I don’t think I know enough to say anything about it. But I can definitely say that Bajirao Mastani is releasing on 18th of December and I think we have announced that date one and half or some two years ago,” says Deepika.
Bajirao Mastani is a historical romance film produced and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film narrates the story of the Maratha Peshwa Baji Rao I and his second wife Mastani.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone portray the titular protagonists, and Priyanka Chopra plays Bajirao’s first wife.
The film is scheduled to release on 18 December 2015.
