‘Chhuri’ is equally khatarnak as my last short film ‘Chutney’ says Tisca Chopra

Actress Tisca Chopra attended CANFLY charity and fundraiser event for TATA Memorial hospital where fashion designer Maheka  Mirpuri made auction of her artwork to raise fun for cancer patients on Friday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Tisca stated that her upcoming short film ‘Chhuri’ is equally Khatarnak (Dangerous) as her last short film ‘Chutney’.

Tisca Chopra’s last short film Chutney which was produced and written by her and it revolved around a middle-class family where Tisca played a deglamourized woman with an extraordinary mind. The 16 minute short film had some thrilling moments in the end. Talking about her upcoming projects, Tisca said, “I have my short film coming up which is called ‘Chhuri’ after ‘Chutney’.’ ‘Chhuri’ is equally Khatarnak (Dangerous) as ‘Chutney’. There is another film of mine called ‘Hungery’ which will be showcased at MAMI film festival and after that I am writing a film with my co-writer called ‘Delhi Wale Bhatia’.”

Tisca Chopra hosted Maheka Mirpuri’s fundraising event, talking about the event, Tisca said, “I feel hospital like TATA is doing so much of good work for all cancer patients and I know certain people who had used facilities at TATA and they are absolutely incredible. So, I am really delighted hosting the bidding for the auction. I am very glad to support Maheka and the cause of cancer awareness because it is something that I deeply believe in so I feel if we can do something for anybody then these are very small opportunities to be able to do it”

When asked whether she will organized such event for any cause like this in future, Tisca said, “I have something in mind. Right now, I am making my effort to set up my production house, and then within 1-2 years, I really want to do something like this for a good cause.”

When asked her opinion about ways to prevent deadly disease like cancer, Tisca said, “I feel more than tobacco and cigarettes what is important is pollution in our food. There is increasing amount of pesticides in our food and now we are eating lot of processed food because of that our body is not able to cope with that. Now among every three persons, one person has cancer so that is something we should educate people to generate awareness about cancer”.

‘Chhuri’ stars popular 15 year old television actress Roshni Walia and Tisca Chopra and it is produced by Anurag Kashyap.

Her upcoming film ‘Hungery’ is written and directed by Bornila Chatterjee and co-written and produced by Tanaji Dasgupta and Kurban Kassan. It stars Naseeruddin Shah and Tisca Chopra in lead roles.
