Debutante Tara Sutaria says dancing to the re-created version of “Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani” has been a privilege on the sidelines of SOTY 2 song launch.
Team SOTY 2 – Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Aanaya Panday hosted an interaction session with media for the “The Jawaani Song” from here film here in Mumbai.
Talking about her memories with the old RD Burman and Kishore Kumar classic hit song and working on its recreated version, Tara said, “When I was growing up my parents would play beautiful old classics, and this is a song that so many have grown up listening to, so it is literally a privilege to be able to dance to this song with legendary Kishore Kumar’s voice. See I sing as well, so for me able to dance to the song he has sung it means the world”
Further adding, Tara said there was no pressure about the song, on the contrary, she was excited to dance to the number. She added, “More than nervous, actually we’re looking forward to performing on this song because it is such a famous song. Everyone has heard this song, the fact that SOTY 2 gets to have this song, it is huge deal. We were all excited and rehearsed it well and it was surreal to be able to dance on a song like this”
Tara Sutaria also hailed his co-star Tiger Shroff for being supportive. She said, “With Tiger Shroff, every take is perfect take, so if we mess up in the take, it is very stressful. But Tiger is very sweet and never made us feel bad, he is the best”
When asked about movie trailer being slammed for its unrealistic portrayal of school life, Tara quipped, “We’re trying to provide absolute enjoyment, entertainment and a space for escapism for everyone. Whether you’re young or older, and I hope people in school and college enjoy it as much as we have”
SOTY-2 is directed by Punit Malhotra, and produced by Karan Johar, under the banner of Dharma Productions, the film will be distributed by Fox Star Studios.
The film stars Tiger Shroff in the lead along with Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday marking their debut, SOTY 2 releases on 10th May 2019.
