“Diljit Dosanjh is a really good actor,” said Taapsee Pannu, during her recent media interaction regarding her forthcoming movie, Soorma.
“Diljit Dosanjh is a very good actor and he is a very shy and good person also. He is trying to make his presence felt, slowly. I think he deserves all the attention, because he is a very good actor” said Taapsee, who will be seen sharing screen space with Diljit in Soorma, which is an upcoming sports biopic.
Directed by Shaad Ali, the movie Soorma tells the story of Sundeep Singh, Indian Hockey player, who was grievously injured after he was hit in an accidental gunshot in a train in 2006.
The movie stars Diljit Dosanjh, Taapsee Pannu, Angad Bedi and Chitrangada Singh in the lead roles.
Further adding about the film, Taapsee said, “Soorma is based on Sandeep Singh. He is the one who taught us hockey, I mean, me, Diljit and Angad. We have completed half of the film; we will finish the shooting by Christmas”
In 2018, Taapsee Pannu has lined up two massive movies, Soorma and Mulk, and actress is quite excited about it.
“Next year will be really exciting. I have finished shooting for “Mulk” and it will release in the first half of the year. And after that “Soorma” will release on 29th June 2018. Both the movies are really different from each other”
“One is social thriller and other is a sports biopic, which will have me playing hockey. Both the films are different; both the characters are different, so genuinely coming year will be really exciting” added Taapsee.
“Mulk” is helmed by Anubhav Sinha and also stars Rishi Kapoor in the lead.
