“Government Should Not Play A Role Of ‘Nanny,’ And Shall Not Try To Control What People Do In Their Private Lives”,  Kabir Khan On Porn Ban In India

Filmmaker Kabir Khan whose last directorial venture, Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ broke all records at box-office was all present yesterday at a press meet in Mumbai.

The filmmaker when asked about his take on Indian Government’s decision on banning porn sites in India stated that the Government should not act like a nanny and should not try to control private lives of people.

Kabir said, “I Do feel that the Government must not play role of nanny to all of us i.e citizens of India, as we are all grown-up individuals. One is not saying that everything about porn is all right, I agree that there are numerous important steps are to be taken seriously. There needs to be a very very strong stand to stop child pornography, but then everything has to be in limit. One can’t just ban it and say ‘You can’t watch porn any more’.”

“Being an individual and an  adult, I don’t think Government should try to control what people  do in their private lives.” added Kabir.

The government so far is been  at the receiving end from all across following their decision on banning Porn sites in India.
