Veteran actor Anupam Kher attended NDTV’s ‘Banega Swachh India’ campaign along with Amitabh Bachchan on Monday in Mumbai. While interacting with media, Kher stated that he is a doer and not just a thinker.
When asked Kher there is still long way to go for India to become a clean country, reacting to that, Kher said, “See… I am an optimistic person. I don’t see what is not happening, I see what is happening and the people who feel nothing will happen, they will only keep thinking all their life. Optimistic people at least try to do things in their life”
“I am a doer and not a thinker. If I wasn’t like this then I wouldn’t have come to Mumbai 35 years ago. I feel anything is possible in life. Let’s see positive side of life than being cynical about it. I think before cribbing over things we should start putting our effort to achieve our goals”
When asked Kher his opinion about success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ campaign, he said, “When anyone does anything good for the society then we don’t have any rights to judge whether that initiative has been successful or not. It is a movement and a movement takes many years to achieve its desired result but at least from now on we are witnessing the results of it. On the day of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, NDTV has organized such huge event and personality like Amitabh Bachchan is face of it so that it proves that we are on right track”
“When our grandchildren will say that we have taken a part in movement like this that time I feel they will start respecting us. Each individual from our country should participate in it and we should also curb down issue of open defecation from our country.”
Anupam Kher was last seen in David Dhawan’s “Judwaa 2” and he is gearing up for his next release ‘Ranchi Diaries’ which is produced by him.
It stars Himansh Kohli, Taaha Shah Badusha, Jimmy Shergill, Satish Kaushik, Soundarya Sharma and Anupam Kher in lead roles. It is directed by Sattwik Mohanty and it slated to release on 13 October, 2017.
