Kamal Haasan seems to be the most favourite child of controversies! He remains in headlines for one or the other goof-up. But this time, it is his younger daughter who landed him up in news, but this time for a right reason. Reports are a buzz that Akshara Haasan has changed her religion to Buddhism.
Akshara, who marked her debut in Bollywood with Shamitabh starring Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush has apparently decided to change her decision. The actress is presently gearing up for her Tamil debut opposite Ajith Kumar and is converting to Buddhism amidst the film’s promotions.
She earlier was an atheist and has said this in many of her interviews. However, in a recent interview, the diva expressed her attraction towards Buddhism and claimed that she has converted to Buddhism.
The reports were making quite a buzz and hearing the same, Kamal Hassan decided to make an open reaction. Thus, he took it to Twitter and shared the most hilarious response. “Hi. Akshu. Have you changed your religeon? Love you, even if you have. Love unlike religeon is unconditional. Enjoy life . Love- Your Bapu,” he tweeted.
Akshara too replied and wrote, “Hi bapuji. No, still an atheist. Although i agree with budhism as it is a way of life and in an individuals way of life.”
Isn’t this banter between father and daughter just too cute?
Well, let us tell you, Akshara aspired to become a film director and also wants to direct Kamal Haasan, Sonika and Shruti Haasan in future. The 26-year-old actress is also happy about her Tamil debut opposite Ajith.
Best wishes for the debut Akshara! And follow any religion or not, that’s indeed one’s personal choice.
