Filmmaker Kiran Rao doesn’t like to watch violent films though she said ‘Pulp fiction’ is her favorite from Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino’s works.
“I am excited to watch ‘The Hateful Eight’ but only thing I am a little bit nervous because of violence. I’ve watched quite a few of Quentin Tarantino’s film, but some of them I have not been able to because of the violence. I am kind of nervous watching his films but yes I loved his early works.” She said at the screening of Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’.
“I loved Pulp fiction, it’s a cult film. It is my favorite.” The maker of ‘Dhobi Ghat’ added.
The Hateful Eight is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. It stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, DemiánBichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, and Bruce Dern as eight strangers who seek refuge from a blizzard in a stagecoach stopover sometime after the American Civil War.
KiranRao, who has co-produced Aamir Khan starrer “Dangal” expressed she will never make any bloody or brutal films with husband Aamir Khan, “There is no way to make violent films with Aamir. It is not my genre. I mean a lot of people love to watch horror films or violence but I am not. I can’t watch a film that is too much blurred.”
The celebrity couple was recently hugely criticized for speaking about growing intolerance in the country. Aamir said he’s been worried by a numerous incidences and he feels a sense of shakiness. He said Kiran recommended they move out of India, and exclaims that is a “disastrous and big” statement for Kiran to make. Aamir Khanalso showed his supportto the personalitieswho were giving back their national awards and other government respects to protest intolerance.
Currently Aamir Khan is in Ludhiana to continue the shoot of his upcoming film ‘Dangal’.
