Actress Kajol, who is currently gearing up for the release of ‘Helicopter Eela’ says the #MeToo is taking away the shame associated with owning such incidents.
Kajol interacted with media during film promotion on tuesday for her ucpoming family drama in Kolkata.
Talking about the new revelations in #Metoo moment Kajol said: “The most important thing about #MeToo is by taking away the shame and embarrassment associated with owning such incidents, the younger people or anybody who feel that they come into opposition like this, are able to have the guts and draw that line and say no more after this.”
Kajol in “Helicopter Eela” will be seen as a over protective mother, while talking about the film she revealed that the film was inspired by the social media hashtag ‘helicopter mom’.
She also added that the film is not just a mother-son story, “The film is not just a mother-son story but about a relationship. I think in every relation be it mother-son, husband-wife, best friends or even brother-sister, if one person becomes over possessive then there is a sense of suffocation,”
Directed by Pradeep Sarkar the film stars Kajol as Eela and Riddhi Sen, as Eela’s teenage son and Neha Dhupia.
“Helicopter Eela”, produced by Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada (Pen), is slated to release on October 12.
