My bad luck I didn’t do Bandit queen says Naseeruddin Shah

The veteran Actor Naseeruddin Shah who is considered one of the best actor of the Indian cinema and many new budding actor take him as inspiration but this veteran actor blame his bad luck for not been the part of Shekhar Kapoor’s internationally acclaimed film “Bandit Queen”.

At the special screening of Hansal Mehta film “Aligarh” Naseeruddin spoke about Manoj Bajpai who considers the veteran actor his inspiration.

“This is his greatness that he speaks so highly of me but I am his fan since Bandit queen. I believe he is India’s one of the best actor.”

Many less people know that the “Bandit Queen’s” Man Singh which was portrayed by Manoj Bajpai was earlier offered to the veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah which he did not do.

Lamenting on his decision of not doing “bandit queen” the veteran actor said, ” It was my bad luck I did not do “bandit queen” and its Manoj good luck he did it.”

After “Bandit queen” Manoj Bajpai got a new fame in the film industry and did some unforgettable character like Bhiku Mahatre from the film

Denying the credit for the success of the Actor Manoj Bajpai Naseeruddin Shah further added, “I don’t take credit of his success. It’s his hard work and talent”

Actor Manoj Bajpai will be in Hansal Mehta’s “Aligarh” which is based on the real life incident of Dr. Shrinivas Ramchandra Siras, who was suspended from his job because of his sexual orientation. Siras was the professor of Marathi at the “Aligarh” Muslim University. After successfully appealing his suspension he died in suspicious circumstances. Directed by Hansal Mehta, Manoj Bajpai plays the role of Siras and Rajkumar Rao plays a journalist.
