Not happy! technicians getting recognition among audience says film editor Namrata Rao

Winning national award for the film Kahani the film editor Namrata Rao is happy doing different work in the film industry.

In today’s time it is not only the actors but directors, technicians everyone is recognized and appreciated for their work.

But this talented film editor is not happy with no recognition of behind the camera people among the audience.

Sharing her point of view in the interview for the upcoming film “Titli” Namrata said,”Honestly I am not happy the technician and behind the camera people not getting recognition because more the audience will know the less will be the magic of movies.”

“I want the industry should know about such people so that they will be paid well for their contribution. I believe editing is an invisible art. The more it comes forward the lesser the magic of the movie and at the end story telling suffers,” added Namrata.

Winning a National award does not change Namrata’s life much but she accepted that she has gained confidence for her work.

Sharing her experience with Kahani Namrata said, “Kahani was a small budget film and I was  paid less for it. Sujoy Ghosh earlier made 2 films Home delivery and Alladin. They flopped so Sujay was back foot. But film was not getting any studio and release date was pushing further but Dirty picture did well at the box office and Kahani gained from it.”

Currently, Namrata is working on the YRF film “Fan” starring Shahrukh Khan.
