Actor and Comedian Johny Lever attended red carpet event of his upcoming show ‘Partners’ on Tuesday in Mumbai. During media interaction, Johny said playing double role in ‘Partners’ was so much fun.
Talking about his character in ‘Partners’, Lever said, “I am very happy and excited for the show. I am playing double role in it. I am playing two different characters as double role in this show. On one side, I am playing Bengali commissioner which is really funny and on the other side, I am playing characters of informer who appears in different avatars which also fun so it was fun playing double roles in this show. It is interesting to see how they deal those cases. It’s really funny shoe and I feel audience will have good time while watching the show”
Talking about team of the show, Lever said, “I am very happy that I am featuring on this show with full preparation. Script of the show is really good and producers and writers of the show presented this show in amazing manner. Paritosh who is writer and director of the show with whom I have worked in Mukta Arts film ‘Paying Guest’”
Talking about ‘Partners’ tagline which states ‘Trouble Ho Gayi Double’, Lever said, “Kiku and Vipul character’s doesn’t get along in the show. I am playing a character of police commissioner and both of them are my special officers and they always end up messing things and how I have to handle that so that goes with the tagline of the show ‘Double Ho Gayi Trouble’”
Talking about upcoming Kolkata Short Film Festival, lever said, “Its nice thing that we are making good short films now and I feel we should encourage film makers to do it more often”
Johny has been part of reality shows on TV, this would be his first attempt in the fictional world. “Partners” will also bring Kiku Sharda back to fiction after his successful stint in The Kapil Sharma Show. The serial will also star Vipul Roy, Kishwer Merchantt, Shweta Gulati, Ashwini Kalsekar and Asrani.
The show is helmed by popular writer-director Paritosh Painter and will air on SAB TV.
