The biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, starring Vivek Oberoi, will be released on May 24, a day after the results of the ongoing national election are declared.
The Election Commission had stopped the release of “PM Narendra Modi” till the end of the ongoing national election on May 19.
Actor Vivek Oberoi confirmed the releases date on his Twitter profile. He wrote, “ताक़त से बड़ी हिम्मत होती है! ना रुकेंगे ना झुकेंगे #PMNarendraModi the inspiration, the warrior, the legend! He never gives up and neither do we! Against all opposition,roadblocks and hurdles we will rise on 24th May to share our dream with you all! #DekhengeModiBiopic”
The film showcases Modi’s remarkable courage, wisdom, patience, dedication to his people, his acumen as a political strategist, his leadership that inspired a thousand social changes in Gujarat and later India. It traces his childhood in the 1950s to his meteoric rise in the corridors of politics, as a four-time serving Chief Minister.
The film culminates in Modi’s overcoming all the obstacles to create and lead one of the most fascinating and successful election campaigns in world politics in 2013-14.
Filmmaker Omung Kumar’s PM Modi biopic, which also stars Boman Irani and Zarina Wahab, has generated much interest.
Film releases on 24th May 2019.
