Actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt, who is producing the movie Richa Chadda and Gulshan Devaiah, said, she will re-create the famous “Aashiqui” pose in the film.
“There is one song in ‘Pani Pani’ in ‘Cabaret’ where we will show Richa’s ascent into stardom. We will be recreating the whole ‘Aashiqui’ pose with Richa.” She said at the interview.
The ‘Dil Hain Ke Manta Nahi’ star confirmed Rahul Roy will be making a special appearance on the film, “We want Rahul Roy to play a cameo as him in the film.”
The actress turned producer, who has worked with Rahul Roy in films like, “Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Ayi” and “Junon” said she was first offered the 1990 musical blockbuster film “Aashiqui” with Roy, “You might be not known to the fact I was offered first “Aashiqui”. Mukeh Bhatt came to my home with signing amount. I said no as I didn’t want to work in films that time. Later when I went to the set I was jealous but also clapped for the scene.’ Pooja quipped.
“Since I couldn’t do the film I lifted the famous pose and put it into my film.” She added.
After ‘Aashiqui’ Rahul Roy turned into an instant hit with his breakthrough role in Aashiqui, directed by Pooja’s father and producer Mahesh Bhatt. The film is also marked as debut of Anu Aggarwal.
Apart from Richa Chaddha and Gulshan Devaiah, Cabaret will also star Gulshan Grover, Deepak Tijori and Mukul Dev in pivotal roles. Cricketer S Sreesanth to do a special cameo in the movie where he would be seen playing the role of a mentor to Richa Chaddha.
Cabaret’ is directed by Kaustav Narayan Niyogi.
