Prefer to have basic and comfortable clothing says Yami Gautam

Actress Yami Gautam has said that she prefer to have basic and comfortable clothing when she is not doing any kind of work.

Yami Gautam was interacting with the media when she walked the ramp for fashion designers Gauri and Nainika at Lakme Fashion Week on Wednesday in Mumbai.

When asked Yami about her personal preference when it comes to fashion, she said, “I think in times of paprazzis, everybody knows our personal style or fashion. When I am not working, you will mostly see me in track suits, tees and track pants which are very basic because we are lucky enough to wear most of the beautiful designs on some shows, shoots or events so, when I am not working, I like to have basic and comfortable clothing.”

Yami added that she prefers to wear light make-up when she is not working, she said, “I am very casual in terms of make-up also. I usually don’t wear make-up when I am not working. Even if it’s a screening or a casual dinner or a party, I will just use a concealer and lots of mascara but when it comes to film shoots, fashion shoots and formal parties, I leave it to experts.”

Sharing her experience walking the ramp for Gauri and Nanika at Lakme Fashion Week Yami said, “I am thankful to Gauri and Nainika for having me for walk for them. Both of them have many fans in the film industry and there are so many girls out there who loves Gauri and Nainika collection. I think their collection is absolutely spectacular, beautiful and it comes with certain class and elegance. I love my look. I think hair and make-up is very essential part of whether you are playing character in the film or whether you are playing another character on the ramp so, I am extremely happy to be here. It’s an evening of lot of happiness to open the show for Lakme Fashion Week.”

Yami Gautam last seen onscreen playing role of an intelligence officer in ‘Uri – The Surgical Strike’ and the film has garnered positive reviews among critics and audience, when asked Yami about her upcoming projects, she said, “You will hear that very soon.”
