Prem Ratan Dhan Payo “Censor Cuts” and “Adaptation”

“Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” upcoming family drama directed by Sooraj Barjatya starring Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles has been axed by Censor Board.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has received cuts from the Censor Board.

The film was presented to CBFC on Friday after which the committee directed them to make some changes.

First to remove the word ‘Chinar’ and the second cut was from an “antakshari” sequence in the film.

The song was asked to be changed on the basis of religious sentiments.

Now we hear another interesting piece of gossip that Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is an adaptation of Anthony Hope’s The Prisoner of Zenda.

The adventure novel had released in the year, 1894, and was adapted for screen thrice – in 1937, 1952 and 1979.

Whether adaptation or not, fans and followers can’t wait for this Diwali, as the movie will open with a bang on Diwali festive season.
