Raju Srivastava, popularly known as Gajodhar Bhaiya, a versatile comedian will soon be seen in Don Avatar in his upcoming movie 3 Crackers, which went on floors yesterday.
“We started a new film, 3 Crackers. I am playing a Don. He is a dangerous Don. Who takes revenge in a different style. He is Dangerous but he kills you by making you laugh” says Raju.
Raju has became an instant hit from participating in shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Bigg Boss season 3, Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla, Comedy Circus and many more, later he ventured into the world of Cinema. He is most noted for his portrayal in Bombay to Goa (2007) as Anthony Gonsalves.
“Now I know, you must be wondering, he is comedian, where is playing Don, but one should take challenges in life, portray different characters. This role is challenging for me, as I had to redefine this role, add newness to it, like diction and dressing sense” says Raju.
Raju despite being hailed as comedian believes that times are changing and one cannot stick with one type-cast in Industry.
“Time are changing, one cannot type-cast himself in certain role, such as hero, villain or comedian. Like Paresh Rawal, he is a comedian and he is a villain too, Akshay Kumar does comedy and he is hero too. Everyone can do anything. One must try something challenging” says Raju.
3 Cracker is directed by Praful Tiwari.
