Ramya is a multi-lingual actress, who has worked in over 200 films in five languages: Tamil, Telugu,Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
Ramya Krishnan was born in 1967 to a Tamil Iyer family in Chennai. She is the niece of veteran Tamil comedian Cho Ramaswamy. She received initial training in Bharathanatyam, Western and Kuchipudi dance forms and has given many stage performances.
Currently, she is busy filming for second installment of S. S. Rajamouli’s “Baahubali: The Conclusion” in which she plays Queen Sivakami Devi along with Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah and Satyaraj.
She has acted with almost all the stalwarts such as Sivaji Ganesan, Nagesh, M. N. Nambiar, Rajinikanth, Amitabh bachchan, Kamal Hassan, Mohanlal, Chiranjeevi, Mammootty, Shahrukh Khan, Nagarjuna, Dharmendra.
