Rana Daggubati unveils the intriguing and intense first look poster of his trilingual remake “Haathi Mere Saathi” marking New Year special for all his fans.
The actor Rana Daggubatti released the poster on social media. He captioned it, “And now it’s officially another year!! Happy New Year!! Let’s make each day count!! Best wishes. And for the ones who missed here’s #Bandev form #HaathiMereSaathi”
The 2018 trilingual release is a remake of late actor Rajesh Khanna’s 1971 film Haathi Mere Saathi. Eros International’s Trinity Pictures announced the eponymous franchise will be a tribute to the old classic.
The actor is seen in a fierce avatar looking straight into the eyes of the audience with the elephant at the back. The movie will be shot in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil with Rana in the lead.
The film is inspired by true events; the remake will be helmed by Prabhu Solomon. Filming of the remake will commence in Thailand and then travel to various locations across India. Haathi Mere Saathi will be a tribute of sorts to late legendary actor Rajesh Khanna but will have an entirely fresh storyline.
Rana Daggubati is best known for playing the tyrannical Bhallala Deva in “Baahubali” series of films. Apart from Telugu and Tamil projects, Rana Daggubati also has Bollywood films like Dum Maaro Dum, Baby, Department and The Ghazi Attack on his resume.
