Shabana Azmi cancels her Holi party in the wake of Sridevi’s death

Bollywood standing by the side of Boney Kapoor and family in the wake of passing away of Sridevi. Since the time it was reported that Sridevi has passed away due to accidental drawning, various Bollywood celebs have posted condolence messages for her grief stricken family. Since yesterday various celebs have been visiting Anil Kapoor’s house to support the family in trying times. Veteran actress Shabana Azmi has cancelled her Holi party as a mark of respect to Sridevi.

She took to Twitter to announce the decision. She wrote, “Our Holi party at Janki Kurir stands cancelled on 2nd March in the wake of Sridevi’s passing away.”

Earlier today, Shekhar Kapur in his latest post on Twitter shared the comic scene from Mr. India and wrote, “Comic timing in a blink of an eyelid. Even As I grieve for #Sridevi I couldn’t help admiring her amazing comic timing. Don’t know a single actor in the world that could have pulled this scene off like she did – Sridevi Charlie Chaplin sequence.” Yesterday, Sridevi’s costar from her last film Mom, Sajal posted on instagram, “Lost my mom again…”

Sridevi’s mortal remains will be flown back from Dubai and are expected to land in India by evening. Her last rites will take place at Pawan Hans crematorium at Juhu, Mumbai.
