Senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya attacked the Bollywood star for his remarks on religious intolerance in the country and drawing condemnation from his own party.
Shahrukh Khan hosted a press conference on his birthday and during the interaction he was quoted as saying that he tries and avoid speaking on burning issues, as it might create controversy or nuisance.
Looks like his fears came true!
Shahrukh made a comment about “Raising Intolerance” in India, which has attracted the wrath of senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya, who said, “His heart is in Pakistan.”
“Shahrukh Khan lives in India but his heart is in Pakistan. His films make crores here but India seems intolerant to him,” the former cabinet minister posted on Twitter.
“Isn’t this treason? India is about to become a member of the UNSC. All forces opposing India including Pakistan are conspiring against it,” Mr Vijayvargiya said, as reported.
Shahrukh has not yet commented or made any statements on this issue, but looks like he was smart till he didn’t express his opinion!
Next, SRK will be seen in Dilwale, which will hit theaters this December.
