“The character I play should be good and it should teach me something” – Kaizaad Kotwal

Seasoned actor Kaizaad Kotwal who is portraying the role of Vardhan sir in bindass newly launched show ‘Kota Toppers’ talks about why he choose to opt for this show and the state of television actors in the industry.

“I have got so many offers but I was not ready to TV. When I was approached by the writers of Kota Toppers, I told the same to them but they convinced me to read the script first and I liked the script after reading it. I found the topic new, fresh and I wanted to try it out. I haven’t done TV before so, I found this show nice to start off with. Whenever I do a project, I always look for few things – Firstly the script and story should be good and secondly, the character which I am being given to play should be good and it should teach me something.”

“The actors in the industry are getting exploited in terms of money. There are so many actors these days who are ready to work for free. Many producers have also started thinking that they can anyone who can act but then there might come a time when the producers will have to check that the actors who are ready to work for less, might not have the experience which can affect the work. While the actors who are experienced can make things happen quickly as compared to the less experienced one,” signs off the actor.
