They found true love in friendship

Looks like friends played cupid for the adorable and the most loved couple among their television fans, Hussain Kuwajerwala, 39 and Tina Kuwajerwala, 39.

Hussain is an Indian television actor, anchor and dancer. After several modeling campaigns and commercials, Kuwajerwala landed a role in the Indian soap opera Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi. He has also anchored several shows including Shabaash India, Indian Idol, Kuch kar dikhana hain. He was also a participant in Khatron ke khiladi. He has appeared in many advertisements over the years.  He made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with the film Shree. There was a prominent boost in his career when he signed to play Zangoora in the first Bollywood musical Zangoora-the gypsy prince.

Kuwarjerwala was born and brought up in Kurla, Maharashtra. After losing his father at a tender age, he wanted to do good for himself and his family without any help. He came to Mumbai to take admission in a decent town-side college and got into Jai Hind College, Mumbai where he met the love of his life, Tina, in the final year.  This lovely couple has a very cute and romantic love story; love at first sight and a commitment of a lifetime. Tina and Hussain had the same friend circle and shared the same math lecture.

As Hussain recalls:

“Once Tina and I were sitting on a bench along with a friend who all of a sudden uttered ‘Tina, Hussain loves you’. I was zapped and did not know how to react. It was not even the usual filmy trick where the guy asks his friends to help him. Both of us were taken aback but I guess my most beautiful moments started from there.”

They never confessed to one-another initially and told a common friend. After a long time of friendship and secret admiration they decided to take their relationship to the next level. Their love story started soon after that but they kept it very low profile knowing their caste-difference.

After a courtship of nine years, Tina and Hussain decided to see each other at the altar. There were issues due to their caste difference but media helped them in the situation. The rumors mills churned by media eventually forced the families to get the couple married and thus, marriage date was fixed. The couple soon tied the conjugal knot and they embarked on their married life. Since they both belong to different religions, they had a wedding that incorporated the traditions of both the religions.

Tina Kuwajerwala became a conspicuous face after her appearance with her beloved husband Hussain in the dance reality show Nach Baliye in its 2nd season. Their dancing style and blushing chemistry was admired by all and the couple was consecrated with the winning title.

The duo started dating in college in 1996 and got married only in 2005, and are still going strong, touchwood!
