It’s been quite a while since we last saw the gorgeous actress Alia Bhatt on big screens. The actress who happens to be all busy these days with promotions of her upcoming release ‘Shaandaar’, was all present to showcase her support for ‘Girl Rising : A Global Campaign For Girls’ Education In India’.
Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is currently in Montreal, Canada and Freida Pinto joined in via video. Priyanka introduced Ruksana (whose story is featured in the movie), who was present at the event.
At the campaign event it is been officially announced that the India premiere of its film ‘Girl Rising: Woh Padhegi, Woh Udegi’ will be telecasted on 29th August at 1:30 in afternoon.
Talking about the film ‘Girl Rising: Woh Padhegi, Woh Udegi’, the film is directed by Academy Award-nominated director Richard E. Robbins and tells the stories of eight extraordinary girls from around the world. It features Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra, Freida Pinto, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, Alia, Nandita Das, Parineeti Chopra, Sushmita Sen with narration by Amitabh Bachchan.
Post event, Alia interacted with the media over there, as she stated that she is indeed very happy to be part of such an outstanding and wonderful event.
During the interaction, the young actress was asked if given an opportunity would she like to be a teacher for a day.
The ‘2 States’ actress said, “Really? You guys want me to be a teacher? If given an opportunity, Why not? I mean I would love to be one. Like a dance teacher or acting teacher, but not a History or Geography teacher.”
