‘Newton’, the film which is being directed by Amit Masurkar will see Rajkumar play the title role. Rajkumar, the youngest national award winner will yet again present a new and different avatar in the film.
Rajkumar Rao, who has proven his acting skills in films like ‘Shahid’ & ‘Citylights’ is all geared up to kick start the shooting of the film. The actor has won immense praises for his powerful performances in his previous films which leaves a strong impact on the audiences.
The actor confirmed the news and added “”Yes, it’s the journey of a common man who aspires to be someone in life and heads to a jungle infested with Naxals. It’s a really funny story. I’ve been reading a lot of scripts but at the same time am being careful and choosy. Manish Mundra, who’s made Ankhon Dekhi and Masaan, got in touch and as soon as I read it, I knew this was it.”
The shoot of the film will commence sometime during November – December.
Rajkumar who is known for delivering varied kinds of roles & performances will also be seen in Ramesh Sippy’s Shimla Mirchi & Hansal Mehta’s Aligarh.
